The Fun Festival is an ongoing intentional gathering with the purpose of facilitating fun festivities, or "happenings," grounded in an active open dialogue with the community in which the festival is being staged. These happenings can occur at any time and in any place, in any way in which they will be acceptable to those who have authority over the rules of behavior within said place. It is the festival's coordinators who are responsible for securing permission to use a space as a staging ground, or "venue."

Radio Free Fun Festival (an ongoing collection of fun Youtube songs)

The ultimate goal of the Fun Festival is to facilitate the creation and maintenance of an ongoing open venue space, a place within the community that will always be available as a safe, welcoming and engaging place for anyone willing to respect it's sensibility. In the meantime, we intend to work with the community to come together to bring the scene to any space which will agree to host it, in as mutually beneficial a way as we can come up with together.

If you have a potential venue that would like to co-create a fun festivity with us, please let us know. Together we're sure to come up with something good!

Peace and love and blessings of abundance and prosperity be with you!
And fun. Always fun.

You are the primary venue. The scene has no permanent residence beyond our hearts. Every time they open to each other becomes a happening. Honor the scene within you, and the happening before you. Love your venue with all you heart, mind & spirit, and your neighbor's venue as your own. Honor the sensibility of any venue that will open itself to the festival. Respect your patron's/host's wishes in how you allow the happening to manifest, and shepherd it through it's time in the venue. Clarify basic limitations in allowable expression & manifestation before the happening begins. No gathering of hearts is too small to be a happening. Let's have one soon.

'Stoned wallabies make crop circles'

Australian wallabies are eating opium poppies and creating crop circles as they hop around "as high as a kite", a government official has said.

Lara Giddings, the attorney general for the island state of Tasmania, said the kangaroo-like marsupials were getting into poppy fields grown for medicine. She was reporting to a parliamentary hearing on security for poppy crops. Australia supplies about 50% of the world's legally-grown opium used to make morphine and other painkillers.

"The one interesting bit that I found recently in one of my briefs on the poppy industry was that we have a problem with wallabies entering poppy fields, getting as high as a kite and going around in circles," Lara Giddings told the hearing. "Then they crash," she added. "We see crop circles in the poppy industry from wallabies that are high."

"Internet reaches its apotheosis with Cute Roulette "

"There’s really not much you need to know about Cute Roulette other than a) it is everything the Internet can and should be, and b) once you’ve clicked on it, you will never get another productive thing done, ever. Set your brains to “squee” and click."

"Mr. Burns" Toad

Nosing around for "lost" amphibian species in western Colombia in September, scientists stumbled across three entirely new species—including this beaked toad. "Its long, pointy, snoutlike nose reminds me of the nefarious villain Mr. Burns from The Simpsons television series," expedition leader Robin Moore said in a statement released Tuesday.

The unnamed, 0.7-inch-long (2-centimeter-long) toad is "easily one of the strangest amphibians I have ever seen," added Moore, an amphibian-conservation specialist for Conservation International.

The toad also has an odd reproductive habit: skipping the tadpole stage. Females lay eggs on the rain forest floor that hatch into fully formed toadlets.

In addition to the never before seen amphibians pictured here, the unprecedented global effort to rediscover amphibians presumed extinct—led by Conservation International and the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Amphibian Specialist Group—has yielded three species rediscoveries, including a Mexican salamander not seen since 1941, a frog from Côte d'Ivoire not seen since 1967, and a frog from Democratic Republic of the Congo not seen since 1979.

"Brazil builds world’s largest Lego tower"

The world's largest Lego tower has been built in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Nearly 6,000 Lego lovers in Sao Paulo, mostly children, helped put together the independent blocks of Lego bricks which were later stacked using a crane.

The tower was composed of 500,000 Lego pieces and reached 102 feet and 3 inches, breaking the previous record set in Chile last year.

It took four days to build and was held in place by wire supports to prevent it from toppling over in the wind.

The first Lego tower was built in London in 1988, since then Toronto, Moscow, Sydney, Tokyo and Munich have been among the cities which have held the title.

If by truth you mean hand then yes
I hold to be self-evident and hold you in the highest-
K.O. to my O.T. and bait to my switch, I crown
you one-trick pony to my one-horse town,
dub you my one-stop shopping, my space heater,
juke joint, tourist trap, my peep show, my meter reader,
you best batteries-not-included baring all or
nothing. Let me begin by saying if he hollers,
end with goes the weasel. In between,
cream filling. Get over it, meaning, the moon.
Tell me you'll dismember this night forever,
you mu punch-drunking bag, tar to my feather.
More than the sum of our private parts, we are some
peekaboo, some peak and valley, some
bright equation (if and then_ but_, if er then uh).
My fruit bat, my gewgaw. You had me at no duh.
